Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 lb each)
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season ribeye steaks with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add shrimp along with the remaining Cajun seasoning, paprika, and onion powder. Cook until the shrimp are pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir, letting the sauce thicken (3-4 minutes).
- Serve steaks topped with the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For less heat, reduce the Cajun seasoning.
- Pair with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- Adjust steak cooking time for your preferred doneness: medium-rare (3-4 minutes per side), medium (5-6 minutes), well-done (7-8 minutes).
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of cream.
