Description

This Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce (Surf and Turf) is a flavorful, easy-to-make dish combining juicy ribeye steaks and shrimp in a rich Cajun cream sauce. Ready in just 35 minutes, it’s perfect for date nights or any time you want to treat yourself to a restaurant-quality meal at home!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 lb each)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season ribeye steaks with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Add shrimp along with the remaining Cajun seasoning, paprika, and onion powder. Cook until the shrimp are pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream and stir, letting the sauce thicken (3-4 minutes).
  • Serve steaks topped with the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For less heat, reduce the Cajun seasoning.
  • Pair with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Adjust steak cooking time for your preferred doneness: medium-rare (3-4 minutes per side), medium (5-6 minutes), well-done (7-8 minutes).
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of cream.
