Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 filet mignon steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let them rest.
  • In the same skillet, add butter and sauté shrimp until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Add garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and thyme.
  • Add lobster meat and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet and coat with the lobster cream sauce.
  • Spoon the shrimp and lobster cream sauce over the rested filet mignon steaks.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

  • For a complete meal, serve with mashed potatoes or sautéed asparagus.
  • Feel free to swap shrimp or lobster for scallops or crab if you prefer.
  • To reheat, gently warm the shrimp and lobster cream sauce over low heat. Avoid overcooking the filet mignon when reheating.
